In addition to Dr. McAuley's involvement in research, teaching, and supervision of students, she maintains a limited private practice to serve the needs of children and youth with brain-based concerns living in Waterloo region. As a PhD-level pediatric neuropsychologist, she specializes in the assessment of neurodevelopmental disabilities (e.g., complex ADHD, autism, learning disorders, intellectual disability), though provides comprehensive neuropsychological assessment and consultation services to children and adolescents with any brain-based concern that affects their thinking, learning, and/or social-emotional development. Dr. McAuley works one-on-one with clients and strives to provide services that are collaborative and youth focused, meaning that both parents and children are involved in all aspects of the assessment process.
