Rebecca Trossman is publishng more of her Master's work in which she establishes in both undergraduate students and a community sample of adults that EF-challenges mediate an association between adverse childhood experiences (ACEs) and health. This work is important because it replicates prior studies linking ACEs to longer-term health outcomes but goes one step further to offer some ideas regarding possible underlying brain-based mechanisms that potentially drive this association. Rebecca's work will soon be published in the journal Psychological Trauma: Theory, Research, Practice, and Policy.
