Clark Amistad
Lab Manager. Clark is a graduate of UW's Honours Psychology (Bachelor of Arts) program. After leaving the CAN Lab, Clark completed his MSc in the I/O Psychology program at the University of Calgary.
Prudence Chan
Undergraduate Honours Student. Prudence is a graduate of UW's Honours Psychology (Bachelor of Science) program. Her thesis examined the influence of feedback in post-error slowing as a function of ADHD and ASD traits. Following graduation, Prudence joined the International Tobacco Control Policy Evaluation Project at the University of Waterloo.
Navi Dhaliwal
Undergraduate Honours Student. Navi is a graduate of UW's Honours Psychology (Bachelor of Science) program. Her thesis examined the interplay of executive functioning challenges and mental health concerns in children and youth. After leaving UW, Navi became involved in a variety of research initiatives in the Schachar-Crosbie Lab at the Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto.
Amanda Ferguson
Undergraduate Honours Student. Amanda completed an undergraduate degree in political science and returned to UW to retrain in psychology. In her thesis, she explored emotion regulation strategies in adults. After completing her thesis, Amanda entered the Clinical Psychology training program at the University of Toronto - Scarborough Campus.
Martyn Gabel
MA/PhD Student. Martyn completed his pre-doctoral residency at the University of British Columbia and received his PhD from the University of Waterloo in October 2021. During his time in the CAN Lab, he undertook a series of studies exploring the moderating influence of emotional reactivity vis-a-vis affective influences on cognition. Following graduation, Martyn joined a psychology practice in Ottawa.
Bawan Gosal
Undergraduate Honours Student. Bawan is a graduate of UW's Honours Psychology (Bachelor of Science) program. Her thesis examined the impact of affective experiences on inhibitory control. After completing her thesis, Bawan trained as an IBI instructor therapist for children with developmental disorders.
Melissa Grubb
Undergraduate Honours Student. Melissa is a graduate of UW's Honours Psychology (Bachelor of Arts) program. Her thesis explored the contribution of attention and eye movements to higher-level reading comprehension in university students. After completing her thesis, Melissa entered the Clinical Psychology training program at the University of Guelph.
Netri Kalra
Undergraduate Honours Student. Netri is a graduate of UW's Honours Psychology (Bachelor of Science) program. Her thesis examined how parenting stress and problems related to executive functioning affect relationship satisfaction in couples with children. Following graduation, Netri is taking some time to consider her next steps...
Meagan Koufis
Undergraduate Honours Student. Meagan is a graduate of UW's Honours Psychology (Bachelor of Science) program. She was initially a co-op student in the CAN Lab assisting with a clinical trial at Cambridge Memorial Hospital, then returned to undertake her thesis examining executive function and mental health challenges associated with the transition to high school. Following graduation, she completed a Masters of Arts in Counselling Psychology at Western University.
Victoria Liao
Undergraduate Honours Student. Victoria is a graduate of UW's Honours Psychology (Bachelor of Science) program. Her thesis examined the interplay of inhibition, social communication, and ADHD traits in preschool-aged children. After completing her undergraduate degree, Victoria entered the graduate program in Occupational Therapy at McMaster University.
Vanessa Morris
Undergraduate Honours Student. Vanessa is a graduate of UW's Honours Psychology (Bachelor of Science) program. Her thesis examined the impact of sibship size on executive functioning in youth. After graduation, she entered the graduate program in Neuroscience at McMaster University.
Hiba Nauman
Undergraduate Honours Student. Hiba is a graduate of UW's Honours Psychology (Bachelor of Science) program. Her thesis examined binge watching as a function of impulsivity and ADHD traits. After completing her thesis, Hiba entered the Clinical Psychology training program at the University of Guelph.
Dayne Randa
Undergraduate Honours Student. Dayne is a graduate of UW's UW's Honours Psychology (Bachelor of Arts) rogram. His thesis examined the interplay of executive function and grittiness on task persistence. After graduation, Dayne became involved in the business side of a digital safety management company.
Ami Rints
MA Student. Ami completed her Master's degree in UW's Clinical Psychology training program, examining how ADHD traits and response inhibition influence the communication skills of young children. Her doctoral work is examining how child and parent executive function contribute to the experience of parenting stress.
Tamara Rosner
MA Student. Tammy completed her Master's degree in UW's Clinical Psychology training program, examining the relevance of executive functioning for goal-oriented behaviours. She then moved to McMaster University to completed her PhD in experimental psychology.
Siobhan Sutherland
Lab Manager. Siobhan is a graduate of UW's Honours Psychology (Bachelor of Arts) program and was the first manager of the CAN Lab. After completing her undergraduate degree, Siobhan entered the Clinical Psychology training program at UW with Dr. Uzma Rehman.
Kiruthiha Vimalakanthan
Undergraduate Honours Student. Kiruthiha (Kira) is a graduate of UW's Honours Psychology (Bachelor of Science) program. Her thesis investigated associations amongst inhibition, personality traits, and temperament in adults. Afterwards, Kira entered the Clinical Psychology program at UW with Dr. Allison Kelly.
Martin Yeung
Undergraduate Honours Student. Martin is a graduate of UW's Honours Psychology (Bachelor of Science) program. His thesis examined the affect of executive functioning and ADHD traits on social communication in young adults. After graduation, Martin entered the Master's of Information program at the University of Toronto.
