IC3 members awarded John R. Evans Leaders Funding from the Canada Foundation for Innovation

Congratulations to Waterloo professors and IC3 members, Zahid Butt, Wesley Van Wychen, Chul Min Yeum, Michelle Rutty, and Yimin Wu, on receiving funding from the Canada Foundation for Innovation’s (CFI) John R. Evans Leaders Fund (JELF). 

The Honourable François-Philippe Champagne, Minister of Innovation, Science and Industry, announced more than $77 million to support 332 research infrastructure projects at 50 universities across the country.

Among this list includes the following Waterloo research projects:

  • Zahid Butt - Public Health Research and Analytics Lab: A Platform for Disease Mapping, Health Data Analyses and Knowledge Translation
  • Wesley Van Wychen - Establishment of the Glacier and Cryosphere Research Laboratory
  • Chul Min Yeum - Infrastructure for Advancing Vision-Based Structural Assessment Technologies
  • Michelle RuttydeTOUR lab
  • Yimin Wu - Understanding the Role of Defects in Artificial Leaves using In-Situ Multimodal Characterizations and Calculation
