Event Description

Join the Climate Institute and the Faculty of Environment for a talk with Chris Turner, the award-winning author of How to Be a Climate Optimist. Turner will share insights from his groundbreaking book, which offers a refreshing and optimistic perspective on the climate crisis.

As a seasoned journalist, National Business Book Award winner and Governor General Literary award finalist, Turner has traveled the globe, reporting from the frontlines of the sustainable revolution. From Denmark’s green islands to solar factories in California, Turner has witnessed firsthand the emergence of a greener, more sustainable future. In How to Be a Climate Optimist, he distills these experiences into an empowering narrative that moves beyond despair and anger, focusing instead on the tangible steps being taken worldwide to combat ecological collapse.
