Sarah is a postdoctoral scholar in the Cognitive Development Lab and the Social Development Lab at the University of Waterloo. She recently completed her PhD in Developmental Psychology where she examined the multiple motivations underlying children and adolescents’ use of affiliative language during peer interactions. Sarah also completed a Master of
Applied Science in Development and Communication Science at UW in 2021 and earned a Bachelor of Arts (2019) and Honours Certificate in Psychology (2020) from Mount Allison University. Sarah’s research explores various aspects of peer relationships, social communication, social information processing, and temperament.
Outside of the lab, Sarah enjoys reading, puzzles, and spending time with friends, family, and her cat, Sawyer.
