Get your teams in gear – the Capital One® Data Mining Cup is back for another year! On March 7th, we’re partnering with the Math Finance Student Association and once again launching this 4th annual integrated case competition. Students will get to apply cutting-edge analytics and formulate business strategies, while networking with industry professionals in the financial sector.
Besides bragging rights, you’ve got plenty of reasons to take the challenge, like:
- A unique chance to apply knowledge and tools gained in school to a real-life business problem, while having fun and working with your friends
- An excellent networking opportunity, with top teams presenting to Capital One Senior Management and enjoying a night out with all expenses paid
Do you and your team have what it takes?
- Understanding of business concepts
- Basic knowledge of statistics, econometrics or data mining
- Access to any statistical software

March 7nd, 2014 – Case kick-off at The Festival Room in South Campus Hall (drinks and snacks provided!)
March 8th, 2014 – Q&A session with the case creators
March 16th, 2014 – Submissions due
March 18th, 2014 – Final presentations and celebration
