We are delighted to announce that Devashish Tupkary, a graduate student in Professor Norbert Lütkenhaus’s research group at the University of Waterloo, has received the CryptoWorks21 Best Paper Award!
Devashish played a leading role in developing security proof framework for variable-length quantum key distribution (QKD) protocols. This work addresses critical limitations of traditional fixed-length approaches and paves the way for practical applications such as ground-to-satellite QKD, marking a major advancement in secure quantum communication.
Congratulations, Devashish, on this well-deserved recognition!
The Royal Bank of Canada (RBC) is opening a cyber security lab and investing $1.78 million into research at the University of Waterloo to develop advanced cybersecurity and privacy tools, announced January 29, 2018.
