Tuesday's notes
"Food Services is excited to bring Tim Hortons’ Roll Up the Rim to our campus Tim Hortons locations from February 24 to March 23!" says a note from, you guessed it, Food Services.
Check the locations and hours page on the Food Services website for information about, you guessed it, operations and hours. Also, check out this recent CTV article about Waterloo biostatistics professor Michael Wallace, who has been gaming the Roll Up The Rim/Roll Up To Win contest for some time now, with winning results. And, apparently for the first time since 2020, the contest rims are making an appearance on coffee cups for the 2025 edition of the long-running contest.

The Int'l Spouses group is hosting a winter potluck dinner on Saturday, February 22 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. in the International Experience Centre's Global Lounge on the first floor of Needles Hall. As it's a potluck, attendees are asked to bring a main course or salad to share - beverages and a small dessert will be provided.
"Food made from a recipe from your home country would be nice, but isn't necessary," says a note from Int'l Spouses. "Since people of various faiths (with dietary restrictions) will be attending, please avoid cooking with pork, beef, and alcohol, and/or list all your ingredients. And if your dish has any nuts in it, please label it and list what kind of nuts."
Attendees are also asked to bring their own plates, cups and cutlery for eating, and a serving spoon for their main course or salad.
RSVP by noon on Friday, February 21 to Int'l Spouses coordinator Nancy Matthews that includes how many adults and/or children will be coming, including the children's ages, and your cell phone number.
Int'l Spouses is a group for spouses/partners of Waterloo international students, postdocs, visiting scholars, and faculty/staff.
While we're on the subject, Int'l Spouses hosts a Tea & Chat twice a month on Thursday mornings where you can join them for a cup of tea, coffee, or hot chocolate and visit with people from around the world. "Come alone or bring your children or a friend," says a note from Int'l Spouses. "Snacks and toys will be available."
The next Tea & Chat will be held on Thursday, February 27 from 10:30 a.m. 12 noon in the Global Lounge in Needles Hall.
Upcoming office closure
Campus Wellness locations will be closed on the morning of Thursday, February 20 due to all-staff training and will reopen at 11:30 a.m.
