Mohammad Moridi

Hao is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Electrical & Computer Engineering at the University of Waterloo.

Wojciech Golab received his Ph.D. degree in computer science from the University of Toronto in 2010. In the same year, he completed a post-doctoral fellowship at the University of Calgary and joined Hewlett-Packard Labs in Palo Alto as a Research Scientist. In 2012, he became a faculty member in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Waterloo.

Maizi Liao obtained his Bachelor of Applied Science degree in Computer Engineering from the University of Waterloo in 2020. Subsequently, he completed his Master of Applied Science degree in Computer Engineering at the University of Waterloo, with the guidance of Professors Wojciech Golab and Seyed Majid Zahedi.

Shashank Joshi

Meet Shashank Joshi, a Master of Mathematics (MMath) student in Computer Science at the University of Waterloo, where he's delving deep into the fascinating world of decentralized systems, particularly focusing on blockchain technology.

With a solid foundation laid during his Bachelor of Technology (BTech) studies in Computer Science at SRM Institute of Science and Technology, Shashank's passion for blockchain extends beyond its theoretical underpinnings to exploring its practical applications across various domains. His research endeavours encompass aspects such as consensus mechanisms, security protocols, and the societal implications of decentralized systems.

Shashank's academic journey has been complemented by practical experiences, including his role as a Mitacs GRI scholar at the University of Fraser Valley, where he contributed to the strategic analysis of blockchain applications in the agriculture industry in Canada and India. Additionally, he has gained valuable insights as a Software Engineering intern at Walmart Technology India.

Beyond his research and industry engagements, Shashank is dedicated to fostering learning within the academic community, serving as a Teaching Assistant for courses such as Operating Systems (CS 350) and Computer Applications in Business: Databases (CS 338). He also mentors aspiring students through programs like the WIM DRP, nurturing their growth and development.
