Megheti Bekmezian

Biomedical Engineering 2027

Introduce yourself briefly:

Megheti Bekmezian

Hi! My name is Megheti but I also go by Meg. I am currently a 1B student in the University of Waterloo for biomedical engineering. I am so excited to be an engineering ambassador this term. I hope to inspire and help many others join the UW family.

Waterloo Engineering in one word:

Crazy

I choose Waterloo Engineering because:

I felt in my heart that is where I belonged. Sounds crazy…but it's true! The best thing about my program is:

All the cool people and profs!

About my Co-op experience:

I am very excited to start my first co-op in the 2023 spring term. I wish I had known before I came:

Be ready to work hard. It is not the same as high school here, but you will get the results if you put the time in.

Outside the classroom, I’m involved with:

The UW Biomechatronics E-NABLE team

A fun project I’ve completed:

In the UW Biomechatronics team, we 3D printed pieces for a hand prosthetic that will be donated to an individual in the Waterloo/Kitchener area.

One more thing about me:

I love to bake!
