The ENV Makerspace is committed to maintaining a safe and secure environment for all students. To support this, we provide a variety of personal protective equipment (PPE) that is available for use while working in the space. This ensures that everyone can work comfortably and safely on their projects. Please remember to wear the appropriate PPE based on the tasks you're performing to minimize risks and ensure your safety. If you're unsure which equipment to use, don't hesitate to ask for guidance. The available PPE includes:

  • Small and large nitrile gloves: Ideal for handling materials and chemicals, offering both flexibility and protection.
  • Leather work gloves: Provide additional protection when working with rough or heavy materials.
  • Safety glasses: Available in both tight-fitting and over-glasses styles, these protect your eyes from debris, dust, and other hazards.
  • Face shields: Offering full face protection, ideal for tasks involving cutting, grinding, or other high-risk activities.
  • KN95 dust masks: Protect against airborne dust and particles, ensuring safe breathing during certain tasks.
  • Shop aprons: Keep your clothes and body safe from spills, splashes, and sharp tools while you work.
  • Ear muffs: Protect your hearing when operating loud machinery or working in noisy environments.
  • Ear plugs: Provide additional hearing protection in a more compact form for a quieter workspace.
  • Hair ties: Keep long hair secure and out of the way while using equipment or machinery.
