Inclusion Statement Survey

In partnership with The Office of Equity, Diversity, Inclusion, and Anti-Racism (EDI-R), Athletics and Recreation are currently leading the Living Inclusion Statement Project. This initiative focuses on developing an inclusion statement that reflects the culture, values, and aspirations of Athletics and Recreation. Following the creation of the statement, a two-year action plan will be developed to help bring those values to life across Athletics and Recreation spaces, programs, and systems.

A key part of this work is hearing directly from students about how they experience Athletics and Recreation spaces. We recognize that sharing personal experiences can take time, energy, and vulnerability, and we are truly grateful for anything you may choose to share. Your perspectives will play an important role in forming the development of the Living Inclusion Statement. Through the Identity-based surveys and focus groups, we’re hoping to better understand what helps students feel welcomed, included, and supported, as well as where there may be opportunities for growth.

If you would like to participate, there are three existing opportunities:

Students who are interested in participating in an identity-based survey can engage here.

Students who would prefer or are interested in participating in an identity-based focus group are invited to complete a brief Microsoft Form to indicate their interest and help inform the development of dedicated engagement spaces. The form can be accessed here: Microsoft Form

Students who are interested in participating as allies, do not hold an identity-based lived experience, or who would feel more comfortable not identifying are encouraged to complete the form linked here.
