The top 10 teams from across Night 1 and Night 2 will move on to the Concept $5K Finals on July 29th to compete for up to $10,000 in grant funding to help turn their concept into a reality.

As today’s workforce changes, organizations face increased competition to invest in young talent. As demographic shifts see large pools of talent nearing retirement, and declining birth rates shrinking the available workforce, there’s never been a more important time to bring Gen Z into your organization. Join us for the second event in a multi-part Future-Ready Workforce Series from the University of Waterloo's Work-Learn Institute and discover how employers are engaging young talent in today's challenging market. Access new research insights from Waterloo experts, as well as student and employer guest speakers, that highlight what is changing in our workforce.

Many of us love our lawns despite the environmental implications. So how do we maintain a great looking lawn and not lie awake at night full of guilt? The answer is actually quite simple. We maintain it the way nature would. While turf isn’t a natural ground cover, we can apply the same ecological principles which operate in the natural world.

This Hallman lecture will include a discussion of the COVID-19 response from the perspective of the National Chief of the Assembly of First Nations, Perry Bellegarde, and a panel discussion of national and regional successes and challenges.

Learn about what low mood and depression are; including skills to better manage your low mood and depression and how to:

-alleviate low mood and depression in the moment
-challenge your depressive thoughts
-change behaviours that maintain low mood and depression using mindfulness, cognitive behavioural therapy, and self-compassion
