To celebrate Indigenous Peoples History Month and Pride Month, the Office of Indigenous Relations is excited to welcome Kai Potts for a special event on June 18. Kai is a proud Two-Spirit community builder with a big heart and a lot to say. Whether he's sharing stories about Indigenous identity, queerness, fashion, or his favourite video games, Kai brings humour, insight, and authenticity to every conversation.

AI is fast—but can it read the room?

In an age where everyone is relying on quick access to knowledge through AI, it's important we stay intentional about developing our Emotional Intelligence (EI). Join Mifrah Abid, our Anti-racism Specialist, to learn how to strengthen your EI and respond to people’s needs effectively and preemptively—creating a more caring and constructive workplace. 

This virtual session will discuss and answer questions about the importance of talking to young children (age 0-6) about consent, setting boundaries, and using the proper names for body parts to help build safe, caring and respectful communities.

Most of us want to help other members of our campus community but sometimes we aren’t sure how to do this. The Sexual Violence Prevention & Response Office (SVPRO) is offering Active Bystander Intervention Training for Staff and Faculty to help you address microaggressions and harassment, intervene in harmful, or potentially harmful, situations, and respond with compassion and care to a disclosure of sexual violence or other harms.
