Epsilon ONE® Extensometer

Epsilon ONE video extensometer attached to axial testing machine.

The Epsilon ONE® video extensometer used by the FATSLab team measures axial strain without physically contacting samples; this process is done by using a video camera and post-capture algorithms.

These extensometers can measure both compressive and tensile strains of smaller round and flat testing samples.

Calibrator

calibrator

The FATSLab team uses a calibrator to set the zero position for our extensometers. It features an auto-zero button which significantly simplifies the process, a digital display, and two inches of measuring range.
