$1.5M grant for joint research on remanufacturing technologies

A significant grant of $1.5 million has been awarded to the following team of researchers for a joint research project on remanfacturing technologies:

  • Dr. Hamid Jahed from the Fatigue Stress and Analysis Lab at the University of Waterloo,
  • Dr. Sarah Burch from the Department of Geography and Environmental Management, Faculty of Environment at the University of Waterloo,
  • Dr. Rebecca Saari from the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering, Faculty of Engineering at the University of Waterloo,
  • Dr. Sibel Alumur Alev from the Department of Management Sciences, Faculty of Engineering at the University of Waterloo, and
  • Dr. Vasiliki (Verena) Kantere from the School of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at the University of Ottawa.

This grant, which is part of a larger $4 million federal funding initiative, will propel research and development in sustainable manufacturing practices.
