So, you’re an undergrad, and you’re interested in a field of research. Or many fields. Or you’re not quite sure what you’re interested in, but you want to find out. The information is out there, in the world of journals and papers. It’s pretty formidable to jump in alone. Get an intro to the publishing world, the nature of papers, and how to develop a plethora of research reading skills with the grad students of FemPhys.

Tea & Talk's Special Guest - Oceanographer Liv Herdman

Dr. Liv Herdman is coming by to visit FemPhys during this Tuesday's Tea & Talk (happening in Phys 104 from 12 - 1:30 pm).

She is an oceanographer for the United States Geological Survey, with a PhD in Enviromental Fluid Mechanics from Stanford. She has held post doctoral research positions at both Stanford and the University of Vermont.

Hear about her life and experiences as a woman in science while drinking some tea and relaxing with FemPhys.
