Our mission is to design and build a working, full-sized, scalable Hyperloop pod by 2025 to demonstrate the feasibility of Hyperloop pods in the transportation industry.
To promote the innovation necessary for a Hyperloop-enabled future, were constructing Canadas first Hyperloop track right here in Waterloo with the intent to host a competition to promote further innovation, create real-world testing opportunities for transportation researchers, and scale up to a full-scale demonstration by 2025. The Waterloo Submarine Racing Team (WatSub) is a student design team at the University of Waterloo who designs and builds human-powered submarines. We have taken this underwater challenge that is very rarely explored since 2015.
We race our submarines at the International Submarine Races (US) and the European International Submarine Races (UK). The rule of this competition restricts the submarines power to human power, thus focusing our attention in maximizing the submarines design and life support system. VISIT THEIR WEBSITE
The UWMAV student team grew out of an interest in electro-mechanical system integration and exploration of advanced fluid dynamics.
The team was established in 2005 to foster interest in unsteady aerodynamics, advanced vision systems, and micro-mechanical design.
The University of Waterloo Micro Air Vehicle Team is aiming to compete in the Annual International Micro Air Vehicle Competition. Each year, micro air vehicle teams from all over the world are judged on their performance in surveillance, endurance, ornithopter design, weight and size minimization, technical report writing, and their use of advanced design and manufacturing techniques.
