Congratulations to Saeid Pirasteh

Saeid’s doctoral dissertation is a manuscript-based thesis, consisting of three published journal papers.
During the first 30 minutes, Saeid presented his thesis from publications and contributions, problem statement, research objectives, literature review, study area, methodology, results, conclusions and limitations. In the following two hours, Saeid well answered the questions from the examining committee. The committee was formed by Prof. Baoxin Hu (ESSE, York University, Prof. Dr. Shoufa Lin (EES), Prof. Dr. Ells LeDew (GEM), Prof. Michael Chapman (GEM Adjunct/CE, Ryerson University), and Prof. Dr. Jonathan Li (GEM).
Saeid joined the WatMos Group at the University of Waterloo in September 2013 and has been working with Prof. Dr. Jonathan Li in the past four years. His research work has been published or under review as follows:
