Research Interests
I am interested in studying data analysis and its applications in geography. With the changing climate and the rising oceans, the earth will be undergoing massive changes. With the changing landscapes comes a mass of terrestrial data that need to be analysed. The analysis of petabytes of terrestrial data, unfeasible by hand, will come in the form of deep-learning, AI, and super-computers. Any learning from this excess of data will be crucial in the planning of future generations.
Coming to specifics, I am currently focused on studying land-cover classification with AI under weak-supervision. In corollary and broadly, I am interested in creating computer analysis tools for terrestrial data and applying them to solve important problems for society and the earth.
