Research Interests

My research interests mainly involve developing multi-scale modeling and analytical approaches to investigate the relationships between spatio-temporal patterns of infectious diseases such as COVID-19 and their associations with the underlying environmental contexts and population dynamics. Human mobility plays an active role in the transmission of infectious diseases. With the increase of human mobility caused by the development of globalization and transportation networks, the spread of infectious diseases can be unprecedentedly rapid and difficult to control, resulting in pandemics. Analyzing spatio-temporal analytical frameworks including visualization and auto-correlation analysis aim to explore human mobility patterns and communication dynamics over time and space.
