Research Interests

High-resolution optical satellite images can provide great insight into the large-scale developments on the earth’s surface, including land use/cover changes and damages caused by natural disasters or wars. Multiple satellite image mosaicking is often required for covering a large geographic area. However, these images most often exhibit a diversity of atmospheric and seasonal conditions, making image mosaicking a challenging task. My research will be focused on developing colour-consistency algorithms for eliminating the effects of colour differences between adjacent optical satellite images to achieve seamless image mosaicking.
