The Kindred Credit Union Centre for Peace Advancement is thrilled to announce the official launch event of Local Futures: Communities Collaborating for the Sustainable Development Goals.
Canadian communities face a number of urgent economic, social, and environmental challenges that will reverberate for decades to come. Health pandemics and inadequate local health systems, climate-induced disaster, and new economic models based on artificial intelligence are but a few of the major transformations our communities face today.
Join us on Wednesday, March 5th from 11:00 am - 12:00 pm as we launch the Local Futures project, exploring how universities, municipalities, and community organizations can work collectively to leverage the Sustainable Development Goals and drive impact towards creating a more prosperous and sustainable future.
