The University of Waterloo Human Factors and Ergonomics Society Student Chapter is preparing to host the second Professor Lecture Series event of the Term on Thursday, February 25th from 16:00 - 17:00 (EST) titled: "You, Me and the Technology" - A Professor Lecture Series. 

Our speaker is Dr. Shi Cao, a Systems Design Engineering Professor from the Human Optimization Modelling Lab (HOMLab). He is also our Faculty Advisor at the UWaterloo HFES Student Chapter.

Dr. Catherine Burns will be giving a talk titled "Human Factors in the World of the Internet of Things" at the Psychology Cognitive Seminar in the Department of Psychology on January 29, 2015. 

The second episode of our Student Research Rounds series will be held online using Microsoft Teams on March 4th, 2021 at 4-5PM EST.

Episode 3 of the Professor Lecture Series under the title "You, Me and the Technology" will be held online using Microsoft Teams on March 16, 2021 at 4-5PM (EST). 

The third episode of our Student Research Rounds series will be held online using Microsoft Teams on March 25th, 2021 at 4-5PM EST.

On May 12th, 2022 at 4:00 PM (EST), our fifth speaker event of the year will feature Jingru Yan who works at Air Canada. The UW HFES Student Chapter welcomes Jingru for a casual chat about her background and work experience in human factors. You can anonymously submit your questions before the event here, but we will also take questions live.

On June 7th, 2022 at 4:00 PM (EST), our sixth speaker event of the year will feature Bradley Weaver, PhD who works at Emory Healthcare. The UW HFES Student Chapter welcomes Bradley to speak about his experience in graduate school, how he transitioned to a different domain, how he landed his current position as human factors engineer and research in healthcare, and what he does in his work now.
