My research focuses on design, implementation, and development of various computer vision, machine learning, signal/image processing and sensor fusion techniques for designing an integrated smart ambient technologies for aging applications.  A central theme to my research is the development of a smart ambient based activity detection and tracking system for falls detection/prediction in a cluttered environment with single/multiple occupants. My research involves experimental protocol design, algorithm development, and data analysis while she applies practical skills and theoretical knowledge from multidisciplinary areas including radar engineering, wearable sensors, camera calibration and signal/image processing
