This in-person immigration information session will focus on the National Occupational Classification (NOC) system as well as TEER rankings. The NOC is Canada's national system for describing occupations and is vital in determining relevant skilled work experience when applying for permanent residence. The session will offer comprehensive information on interpreting the NOC. The second half of the session will be a case study in which you attempt to determine the correct NOC for a job description. Join Waterloo’s immigration consultants to explore this topic in more detail.
PLEASE NOTE:
- This will be an in-person session. It will take place in the International Experience Centre in the Global Lounge (Needles Hall, Unit 1123).
- This session is open to all international students (UG and Grad).
- The immigration consultants are unable to answer questions in relation to permanent residence as it is outside of our scope of service. This session will focus on the NOC and developing tools to identify the correct NOC.
- Immigration Information Sessions are where you should start if you are planning on extending or applying for an immigration document, or you want to learn about the immigration regulations related to an immigration topic.
