Course restrictions - undergraduate exchange students

Exchange students coming to Waterloo are restricted from taking the following courses. These restrictions are determined by the respective academic department/faculty. The following list is for information purposes only as additional restrictions may apply. You will be informed of your course approvals once your application has been processed.

    • This program is not open to exchange students. However, exchange students interested in Arts & Business courses may ask to take any of the following: PHIL 215 (=ARBUS 202), MGMT 244 (=ARBUS 302). Note: please be aware that space availability in these courses is limited.

For many courses within the following programs, demand is high and space is extremely limited. Students are advised to have alternative courses as back-up options if they try to enrol in:

    • When selecting PSYCH courses, please note that you must be working towards a Psychology Major degree at your home university to be considered for enrolment in more than three PSYCH courses in a single term.

    • KIN 431 and KIN 432 must be taken together in back-to-back terms
