If you've ever applied for a study permit or work permit before, you know how difficult it can be to get updates on your application’s progress! This year, Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) has introduced a new application status tracking system that provides more frequent and detailed updates on your application’s progress.
This new tracker will let you check the status of the following application types:

Study permits
-
Work permits
-
Visitor visas (Temporary Resident Visas)
-
Express Entry
-
Sponsorship of a spouse, partner, or dependent child for permanent residence
If you've applied for any of the application types listed above, you can create a tracker account once you receive your acknowledgment of receipt (AOR) letter by email or mail.
Note: The tracker account you create will only be valid for your current application. If you submit a different application in the future, you will need to create another tracker account.
