Waterloo International is pleased to be hosting Dr. Klaus Rümmele, Head of International Affairs Business Unit, from our valued partner university, Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT).
Dr. Rümmele will provide a brief introduction to KIT. The format will be a presentation of approximately 20 minutes followed by 40 minutes of Q-and-A and informal discussion.
This session will potentially be of interest to many in the University of Waterloo community, including those who want to learn more about:
- the higher education system in Germany and Europe more broadly, through information about one of its top universities (KIT is a TU9 member and involved in many European (and international) networks);
-
KIT
in
anticipation
of
potential
future
opportunities given
that
they
are a
valued
partner and
one
we
are
actively
looking
to deepen
and broaden
engagement
with
following
the Presidential
trip
there
last
year. There
is
potential
for
the
following
activities
to
occur:
- travel to KIT (by themselves, by their students and/or staff),
- hosting of KIT members, and
- collaborative work in research, learning, and /or community with KIT colleagues.
Given Dr. Rümmele’s position at KIT representing ‘the university as a whole (in its internationalisation activities)’, he is happy to engage on a wide range of issues with interested colleagues. All are welcome, and no RSVP is required.
