The University of Waterloo was represented at the Conference of the Americas on International Education (CAEI) by Waterloo International’s Dr Ian Rowlands and Economics and Water Institute’s Dr Roy Brouwer. Waterloo presented with the Groundwater Research Center (CEPAS|USP) at the University of São Paulo’s Dr Ricardo Hirata and São Paulo State’s Government representative Luciana Martin Rodrigues Ferreira. Speakers highlighted the long and fruitful partnership between Waterloo and São Paulo, with Waterloo highlighting the work of The Water Institute, which aims to be a global leader positioned to advance the sustainable use and management of water. Speakers highlighted the projects, events, publications, feedback, and much more that has come from the relationship between Canada and Brazil, which will continue to provide valuable opportunities for important research.
