The Study Background:

Long-chain omega-3 fatty acids support heart and brain health, but most Canadians are likely not getting enough to receive these health benefits!

Currently, blood omega-3 levels in adults can only be accurately measured through a blood draw of some form. This study aims to compare the results of a Canadian Omega-3 Questionnaire with the results of an intravenous blood draw to test the validity of a non-invasive form of omega-3 analysis.

Eligible participants will be invited to visit our lab for a fasted Intravenous blood sample and complete a brief diet and wellness survey. Within two weeks of the lab visit, participants will be asked to complete multiple 24-hour dietary recalls.
