Liqun Diao

Professor Diao has joined the Department of Statistics and Actuarial Science at the University of Waterloo since July, 2015 as an Assistant Professor. She obtained her Ph.D. in Statistics-Biostatistics at the University of Waterloo in 2013. She is interested in developing and applying data-driven statistical methods and machine learning algorithms to advance knowledge in fields including medicine, public health, and insurance. Her research has been mainly in areas including recursive partitioning methods, causal inference, and dependence modeling.
