Trevor Brown
Professor Trevor Brown joined the David R. Cheriton School of Computer Science in the fall of 2018 as an Assistant Professor. Before joining the Cheriton School of Computer Science, Trevor was a postdoctoral researcher at the Institute of Science and Technology in Austria, as well as the Technion, Israel Institute of Technology. He completed his Ph.D. at the University of Toronto.
Trevor’s research focuses on multicore computing: the “dark art” of efficiently harnessing large systems with dozens or hundreds of processors. His current research focuses on non-uniform memory architectures, memory management, lock-free synchronization, distributed data structures, non-volatile memory and transactional memory.
