Applications are now open for students in the Faculty of Mathematics to enroll in the Zero program, an initiative of the Velocity startup incubator that aims to give students the skills and experience they need to embrace innovation and entrepreneurship. The program has two components; the Zero Experience and the Zero work. The program creators say that Zero is relevant for students in the Faculty of Mathematics because it draws from ongoing innovation in computer science, math and statistics as part of its inspiration.
For students looking to get involved in the university community and expand their professional and personal networks, Beggs said the Zero program promises to give students the tools they need to thrive. Application for The Zero Experience now open and Application for Zero Work now open.
