Students make up almost a third of the Committee on Student Mental Health (CoSMH) membership – three undergraduate and two graduate. Ayana Kawe is the international student representative, 3A in Life Physics in the Faculty of Science, and was Muslim Student Association President Winter 2018. Undergraduate student at large Katie Arnold is a 3A student from the Faculty of Engineering, and the President of the Waterloo Engineering Society. Richard Wu, a fourth-year biomedical student, is the President and representative from the Federation of Students (2018/19).

The graduate student at large representative is Meghan Crouch, a PhD student from the School of Public Health and Health Systems. Naima Samuel is completing a Master’s degree in the department of Recreation and Leisure Studies, and is the President and representative from the Graduate Student Association.

Students can submit feedback to the committee by using the online form on the CoSMH website, or by connecting directly with these student representatives.

Background research support is provided by Jerrica Little, a PhD candidate working under the supervision of Dr. John Hirdes in the School of Public Health and Health Systems, Patrick Yu (in Fall 2018), a 2B co-op student from the School of Public Health, and librarian Jackie Stapleton. Grace Wong is the CoSMH project coordinator.
