The Waterloo Undergraduate Nanotechnology Conference is a 1-day event held annually for students, faculty, and industries who have an interest and passion for nanotechnology emerging in various disciplines of science and engineering. The goal of this event is to connect youth, academia, industry, and start-ups to show the prospects of nanotechnology innovation, and showcase current developments in the industry locally and globally.
On Saturday, November 28, the sixth annual Waterloo Nanotechnology Conference (WNC) will bring together students, employers, researchers and entrepreneurs to discuss the exciting future of nanotechnology. This virtual event provides an exclusive opportunity to learn about careers, opportunities and resources in the world of nanotechnology.
All students (high school, university, college and graduate) and industry professionals are welcome to join us as we explore three unique aspects of nanotechnology: health, environment and information.
We are excited to have you embark on a journey to come and explore how the world has been tackling some of the toughest problems in climate change. This year's conference is on "Thinking Small to Store More" covering advancements in renewable energy using nanotechnology. From a keynote talk on nanomaterials by Geoffrey Ozin, "the father of nanochemistry", an energy storage panel led by some of the world's most highly cited researchers, a grad-student panel focused on carbon capture, networking sessions, a poster exhibition, and many more speakers, there is something for everyone! Join us in shaping the world to a greener future one step at a time!
