Scholarships and Awards

There are many sources of financial support for Waterloo Engineering students.

Scholarships are based on academic excellence and academic contributions. Awards are based on financial need and other criteria such as leadership, community service, and academic excellence. Bursaries are based on financial need.

Featured scholarships and awards for Nanotechnology Engineering Students

Jaya Gupta Memorial Scholarship

A scholarship, valued at $2,000, will be awarded annually to a full-time undergraduate student enrolled in Year Four of the Nanotechnology Engineering program.

IESO Undergraduate Engineering Award

An award, valued at $4,000, is granted annually to an undergraduate student who identifies as a woman enrolled in Year Two of Electrical, Computer or Nanotechnology Engineering.

Adam Weiss Community Leadership Award

Two awards, valued at up to $6,000 each, will be awarded annually to full-time undergraduate students enrolled in Year Two, Three, or Four.

Canadian Nuclear Laboratories (CNL) Undergraduate Engineering Scholarship

A scholarship, valued at $10,000, will be awarded annually to a full-time undergraduate student enrolled in Year Two, Three, or Four of any program in the Faculty of Engineering.
