When Bogdan Constantinescu, now a fourth-year Nanotechnology Engineering student, scored a co-op job at a local laboratory equipment manufacturer, he was thrilled to have an opportunity to put his nanotechnology skills to work. The work term was especially interesting because Angstrom Engineering creates machinery and applications that nanotechnology researchers around the world use to innovate new technologies. Actually, Bogdan had used Angstrom’s machines during his undergraduate studies at the University of Waterloo.
At the completion of his work term, Bogdan shared some highlights of his ‘phenomenal’ experiences in a piece he wrote for Angstrom’s website. In it, he elaborates on his respect for the company and describes the benefits of his work operating a thin film deposition tool in the coating services department and testing a Low Pressure Chemical Vapor Deposition (LPCVD) system.
Read the story to learn more, in Bogdan’s own words, about the work he did and the skills he learned at Angstrom Engineering.
