Each year, the Palihapitiya Venture Creation Fund helps two promising Capstone Design teams transform their fourth-year design projects into successful startups. The Fund is a gift from Chamath Palihapitiya, Waterloo Engineering alumnus and founder of Social Capital, a venture capital fund that aims to solve the world’s hardest problems by partnering with companies in healthcare, education, financial services, consumer and enterprise.
