A beautiful poem describing the feelings of freezing:
'Oh beloved body,
something is letting you down,
the apple tree is not fruit anymore,
my soft flesh turning into petrified wood,
how death in these small millimetres happens.
I am ashamed that I am ashamed of you.
Can I come free somewhere else?
Can I find the light of morning water somewhere else?
Oh my beloved concrete body.'

'Molasses drips. It's dark and drips slowly down. Contrasted by a bright color. Where we want to go but can't seem to get there fast enough. Slow as molasses.'

'Frustrated. I can't move the way I want. My brain knows what to do but doesn't know how.
Maybe I'll get there eventually. Maybe not.
I see the light on the other side but just can't feel it's warmth.
I'm stuck. Moving slower and slower.
Maybe one day I won't move at all.'

All is going forward until you reach the barrier in front of you and you stop.
Now you want to go again but you can't move forward - you can't move to your right - take a breath - you can now move to your left - only your left, move - go.
Here is another poem depicting the sensations associated with freezing:
'My feet start to tingle, numbness begins, "concrete" feet are back; for how long this time? Can't move!! Relax, it will go away... numbness goes, feet are back!! I can walk now
