Ever wonder why some people are inherently clumsy? Or why some people are prone to motion sickness? This March break, children visiting the Ontario Science Centre can participate in two new Waterloo studies to help researchers solve these and other mysteries relating to the human body.

A University of Waterloo startup team that hopes to support refugees once they’ve settled in Canada, has won the regional Hult Prize in London, England, bringing them one step closer to $1 million in seed funding for their social venture.

Leah Kristufek had an “aha moment” when Gordon Stubley briefly spoke to her first-year engineering class. Later, when she became one of his students, Kristufek discovered that inspiring moments would be an everyday occurrence in the engineering professor’s class.
Grade 10 Family Night will take place next week, and will help students learn what they can do now to prepare for applying to any of Ontario's universities.

The Waterloo Centre for German Studies will host a free public lecture by bestselling author and historian Timothy Snyder on how we have misunderstood the Holocaust and the essential lessons it should have taught us.
In his talk, The Holocaust as History and Warning, Snyder will explain how the world today echoes sensibilities of the early 20th century more than we may realize.
