Aiman is working towards a MSc in the Department of Kinesiology and Health Sciences with the Nutrition and Aging Lab. She is a part of a multi-institution effort to understand the health impact of inactivity for the benefit of older adults and astronauts. Her thesis will examine the nutritional implications of prolonged head down tilt bed rest on older adults in a randomized control trial. Aiman is currently working alongside multiple researchers from The Brain and Body Lab on the Dementia Lifestyle Intervention for Getting Healthy Together (DELIGHT).  

Aiman completed a BSc in Honors Health Studies graduating with both the Pre-Clinical and Health Research Specializations, the Aging Studies Option, and a minor in Medical Physiology. During her final year, Aiman piloted a study to examine the awareness and understanding of period poverty in Canadian university students. Throughout her undergrad, she volunteered at the Grand River Hospital Cancer Centre and served as the president of the medical charity Not-Just-Tourists’ Waterloo branch.
