Our Orientation website will tell you what you need to know to have an educational, fun and memorable experience in our online ELI programs. This website is designed for students studying online in any of our English language programs or courses.

While you are studying with us, you will be supported by a talented team of instructors, staff, and peer leaders.  In this section, you will learn what each staff member does, and how they can help you achieve your academic goals.

Support Services and Resources

You may be learning online, but that doesn't mean you are all alone!  Renison University College offers many different virtual support services.  These services allow you to meet online with others, practice your English, and get wellness support.  Renison offers Virtual Meet-ups with your Peer Leaders, video counselling appointments, Virtual Conversation Partner Program, and streamed church services by our Anglican chaplain.

Online Learning Tools

We use many special tools to help you succeed in your online coursework.  In this section, you will be introduced to the LEARN Learning Management System (LMS), the video conferencing platform Zoom, and other useful tools that can help you get the most out of your online course experience.

Online Learning Strategies

Learning online is an exciting way to improve your English, but it requires strategies that are a little different from learning in a physical classroom.  This section will help you plan your time effectively, organize your physical and virtual workspaces, and communicate respectfully with instructors, staff, and your fellow students.
