Open Education: Good for you, good for your studentsExport this event to calendar

Wednesday, March 11, 2020 — 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM EDT

This talk is presented by Professor James Skidmore, who describes the session as follows:

In 2019 eCampusOntario commissioned me to write a report on how institutional policy might be used to increase interest in open educational resources (OER) and practices (OEP) at Ontario’s universities and colleges. I’ll explain what OER and OEP are, how they help both students and instructors, and why institutional policy can lessen the obstacles preventing university instructors from committing to OER and OEP. I’ll also discuss a workshop I’ve created to help educators wishing to kick-start open education at their institutions.
