What you can report online:

  • Lost property (if the total property value is under $5,000.00)

  • Lost/stolen driver’s licence

  • Mischief/damage to property (if the total damage value is under $5,000.00)

  • Theft from a vehicle (if the total property value is under $5,000.00)

  • Theft/loss of licence plates

Any other police report can be filed by contacting the University of Waterloo (UW) Police at 519-888-4567, ext. 22222.

All mandatory fields are indicated with an asterisks *(required) and must be filled in to submit the report.

Please be as specific as possible in all areas of your report.

If you have a suspect in the incident and/or believe there is evidence present at the incident location that police should observe, please call UW Police at 519-888-4567, ext. 22222 before filing this report online.

Once your report is complete, and all mandatory fields have been filled in, click the “submit” icon. Your report will then be electronically submitted to the UW Police and you will receive a confirmation notice.

UW Police will contact you within 24 hours and give you an Incident Report Number. Ensure your contact information on the report is accurate. Please retain this Incident Report Number for your records. If there is further information the police require, you will be asked to provide it at that time.
