On Monday, October 25thand Friday, October 29th from 12:00-1:00 p.m., Tristan Fassel, MSW(they/them), a community and program developer for a developmental services organization in the Waterloo region, will present a two-part virtual workshop on the topic of engaging with EDI-related content as a graduate student. The first part of this workshop will focus on providing graduate students with the information and emotional skills they need to engage with challenging EDI material. Part two will focus on the actions that graduate students can take to support equity in their professional lives, with reference to issues faced by members of LGBTQ+ and neurodiverse groups. In these sessions, Tristan will also incorporate information about the history of psychology, including highlighting historical instances of inequality within the field.
