Canada’s much-anticipated 150th anniversary is just around the corner — and I’m delighted to invite you to the celebration. The 33rd annual University of Waterloo Canada Day Celebration kicks off on Saturday, July 1 at 4:00 p.m. at Columbia Lake Fields.
The spring 2017 Final Examination schedule has been posted. Exam room information will be added to the schedule by July 10th. Any changes to the schedule will be posted on the final examination schedule website. Students should verify any specific exam room and/or arrangements with their instructor.
This is to inform you that the Responsible Investing Working Group, constituted by the Board of Governors, is now in place and has held its first meeting. The terms of reference for the working group can be found via the link.
As Winter 2017 lectures end and you prepare for your exams, let me say on behalf of the University – well done.
As I traveled around campus and visited lectures across the University recently, I was struck time and again by the enthusiasm Waterloo students have for their studies and for this University. Just thinking about it keeps us all inspired.

As we celebrate the 60th anniversary of the University and the 150thanniversary of Canada’s confederation, Celebration 2017 will leave a lasting legacy, designed by current students, to be enjoyed for generations to come; this initiative will embody the University of Waterloo’s image as a hub for innovation and celebrate Canada’s spirit of diversity and inclusion.
