Winter 2021 academic date changes

On Monday, November 16, Senate approved changes to the academic dates for winter 2021. The winter 2021 dates, in addition to all the operational dates based, have now been updated and are viewable online under Important Dates and in the Undergraduate Studies Academic Calendar.

Select Your Winter 2021 Courses October 23 - November 5

You can select your winter 2021 courses anytime during the Course Selection Period from October 23 (8:15 a.m.) to November 5 (11:59 p.m.). It is not on a first-come first-served basis.

Update: Letters of Permission

October 2, 2020 update to March 20, 2020 announcement: The guidelines for studying at a post-secondary institution on Letter of Permission (LOP) have been extended and are in effect for winter 2021. You are only able to do so if the courses are being offered online or, for in-person classes, if you are already in the city where the institution is located (i.e., no travel is required) and the institution is operating. This will allow you to continue your studies if you have returned home.

Your academic standing determines if you can proceed to the next term of study. Learn how to view your academic standing for spring 2020; it will be available in Quest September 15.

  • Check your email for possible updates regarding your academic standing and options.

Deadlines for Adding and Dropping Fall 2020 Courses

Date reminders:

  • Reserves on most classes will be removed September 11.
  • The last day to add classes for fall 2020 is September 21.
  • The last day to drop a class with a 100% tuition refund is September 28.
