Drug Information Projects

computersWhat is Drug Information Science?

Drug information science is the study of the structure and behavior of drug information, properties affecting processing of drug information, and the interpretation of drug information for optimal analysis and inference.

Our team’s focus is on the development and assessment of innovative evidence-based drug information tools clinicians can use to guide therapeutic decision-making.

Assessing the Clinical Utility of Drug Information Sources

  • Ongoing projects address the following research questions:
    1. What is the accuracy of web and mobile-based bleeding risk prediction tools for patients with atrial fibrillation?
    2. What are the performance characteristics of online cardiovascular risk prediction calculators for patients with diabetes?

Creating and Testing Novel Drug Information Tools

  • We are in the process of creating computing infrastruture to conduct studies evaluting the effectiveness of interactive drug informaiton tools ... stay tuned!
