Mohammad Sina Jahangir
Mohammad Sina Jahangir is a Ph.D. student in the Environmental and Water Resources Engineering program at the University of Waterloo. He is originally from Tehran, Iran. He completed both his undergraduate and master studies at the Sharif University of Technology, Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering in Iran. In 2019, he graduated and ranked 1st among all master students in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering which brought him the best student award prize. His research interests include employing machine learning and deep learning for hydrological prediction, time series forecasting, reliability and risk analysis, climate extremes, and remote sensing. He worked as an engineer at Urmia Lake Restoration Program and Tarbiat Modares Water Research Institute in Iran for nearly two years before starting his Ph.D. at the University of Waterloo.
